Chocolate Mice Recipe for Halloween!

These chocolate mice are some delicious and seasonally appropriate treats for the upcoming Halloween season! Recipe courtesy Rosina from


  1. 4 (1 ounce) squares semisweet chocolate

  2. 1/3 cup sour cream

  3. 1 cup chocolate cookie crumbs

  4. 1/3 cup chocolate cookie crumbs (or gram crackers)

  5. 1/3 cup confectioners' sugar

  6. 24 silver dragees decorating candy

  7. 1/4 cup sliced almonds

  8. 12 (2 inch) pieces long licorice


  1. Melt all of the chocolate (make sure not to burn it!), and mix it into the sour cream in a bowl.

  2. Stir 1 cup of cookie crumbs into chocolate mixture.

  3. Cover and put chocolate mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, or until firm.

  4. Mold the chocolate (in tablespoon increments) to a slight point at one end (the nose).

  5. Roll the figures in the remaining cookie crumbs.

  6. Put 2 silver candies near the pointed tip of the figures as eyes.

  7. Put 2 almond slices behind the eyes as ears for the mouse.

  8. Use licorice as tails for the mice.

  9. Refrigerate for around 2 hours (until firm).
