These chocolate mice are some delicious and seasonally appropriate treats for the upcoming Halloween season! Recipe courtesy Rosina from AllRecipes.com.
4 (1 ounce) squares semisweet chocolate
1/3 cup sour cream
1 cup chocolate cookie crumbs
1/3 cup chocolate cookie crumbs (or gram crackers)
1/3 cup confectioners' sugar
24 silver dragees decorating candy
1/4 cup sliced almonds
12 (2 inch) pieces long licorice
Melt all of the chocolate (make sure not to burn it!), and mix it into the sour cream in a bowl.
Stir 1 cup of cookie crumbs into chocolate mixture.
Cover and put chocolate mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, or until firm.
Mold the chocolate (in tablespoon increments) to a slight point at one end (the nose).
Roll the figures in the remaining cookie crumbs.
Put 2 silver candies near the pointed tip of the figures as eyes.
Put 2 almond slices behind the eyes as ears for the mouse.
Use licorice as tails for the mice.
Refrigerate for around 2 hours (until firm).
